Fighting to survive transitioned us into a mass community project all residents can be proud of and enjoy.
With only 5 members remaining Addlestone Bowls Club voted to become "All Inclusive", providing regular open days and starting our community cafe. Increasing to 105 community members and proudly winning the national Bowls England "Story of the Year".
Our 25+ volunteers provided group bowls including weekly vulnerable community sessions driving Accessibility, Inclusivity, and Club Self-Sufficiency.
Addlestone Bowls club juniors grew to 24 members, working closely with Surrey Bowls. Successful fundraising for 11 sets of new junior bowls and a £2,700 "Bowls Royce" Wheelchair.
Transitioned into a community interest company Victory park CIC owned by its community membership. All members playing league matches away to save over £12,000 on council fees for visiting guests in preparations for significant growth 2026.
Preparing for everyday inclusive activities, growing our work with community groups, schools, junior clubs, families. New equipment - New facilities - Mass Social Marketing - Community Memberships and Ownership.
